The Air Force men's tennis team opens play in the Mountain West Conference with three matches in three days at the Academy. The Falcons, 11-9 this season, open against the 46th-ranked San Diego State Aztecs (12-6, 3-0 MWC) on Thursday, April 5 at 3 p.m.

In addition to playing the Aztecs, Air Force battles No. 68 BYU (9-12, 0-3 MWC) on Friday, April 6 and No. 70 Utah (11-8, 1-2 MWC) on Saturday, April 7. Both matches are scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

Air Force enters the weekend with a two-match losing streak, falling to St. Mary's College (6-1) and UC Davis (5-2) last week on its annual spring break trip to California. The Falcons are led by freshman Mike Youn, who is 12-7 in dual singles matches with all but one decision coming at No. 3 singles. Senior Robby Alexander plays atop the singles ladder and is 9-9 in the spring.

San Diego State is one of the hottest teams in the country, winning seven straight matches and 10 of their last 11. SDSU's only blemish during the run came at home to 11th-ranked North Carolina where San Diego State dropped a 5-1 decision back on March 17. All of this occurred after a 2-5 start that included a five-match losing streak.
