Men's Tennis Team Shut Out By BYU, 7-0


    The BYU men's tennis team defeated the Air Force Academy, 7-0, on the BYU Outdoor Tennis Courts in Provo, Utah, on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars won the doubles point with victories at all three spots. Jeff Olsen and Jeff Harbach defeated Eric Pittman and Justin Mancinelli, 9-7 at the number two spot, and the Cougars won at both the number one and three spots by the score of 8-2.

    In singles, the Cougars won the first four matches in straight sets. The closest match was at No. 6 singles, where Olsen defeated AFA's Doug Fike, 6-7, 6-2, 7-6.

    Air Force, 13-6 and 0-2 in the MWC, travels to California for its annual spring break trip. The team's first match is on Monday, Mar. 26 against the University of San Francisco at the Olympic Racquet Club.
