The Air Force men's tennis team is spending its spring break in Hawaii and will play four matches there this week. Each day, one of the players will provide a blog about the happenings with the team. Here is Sunday's blog, written by freshman Steven Young:

Hello there! Steve Young here reporting from the paradise of Hawaii! The team started off the day with a filling breakfast eaten with an ocean view. I had 4 fluffy pancakes with 2 eggs cooked over-medium. Yum! No orange juice for the team because of the high price ($4!!!) and the all-seeing eye of Coach O.

After breakfast the team piled into the vans for a morning practice session. The drive to the courts was exciting and while pulling into the parking garage at U of H, the clearance sign gently touched the top of our 12 passenger van. Usually if your car hits that sign it means that you shouldn't try to proceed and park in the garage, but Coach O is so confident in his driving abilities, he kept going. And then we parked our van in a compact-car parking spot. I might ride in Coach Williams' van tomorrow.

We had a great practice in the morning and all of us had great intensity. Can't wait for tomorrow to show our opponents how the Falcons do it! After lunch we had a few hours to relax at the beach before we headed back to the courts for an afternoon hitting session.

After another intense hit, we walked around Waikiki until our dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. Such great food! The food was cooked right in front of us and was absolutely delicious. The teriyaki chicken and steak was outstanding, hua! Ali Rizvi, Lucas Marin-Salcedo and I then ate at Coldstone Creamery. I am so full right now.

We finished off the day with another game of ultimate frisbee on the beach under the stars. The freshman had a chance for redemption against the upperclassmen but we came up short again.

Can't wait to outlast Hawaii-Pacific tomorrow and I know the team is just as excited, even though I can't say the same for the car ride over to the courts.

Stay tuned for more blogs by some of the other Falcon tennis guys, Steve Young out! Lets Go Blueeeee!!!! BEeeeEeeeEeeeek!!!!
