Men's Tennis Defeats Missouri-Kansas City
U.S.A.F ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy men's tennis team defeated Missouri-Kansas City, 6-1, Sunday at the Cadet Gymnasium Indoor Courts.
The Falcons dominated the doubles competition, winning all three matches to win the doubles point. The brother team of C2C (Jr.) Chris and C2C Greg Zielinski led the way with an 8-1 victory over Darren Heck and Brian Takemoto. In the singles competition, Air Force had only one casualty with a long fought, 6-0, 6-7, 7-6, victory for UMKC's Angelo Vasilescu over C3C (So.) Eric Pittman.
The Falcons, now 11-4, will be in action again Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. against Central Florida at Cadet Gymnasium Indoor Courts.
