THIS WEEK:  The Falcons host their final non-conference home stand this weekend with three matches.  Air Force will host Dayton, Mar. 2, at 4 p.m., Bryant, Mar. 3, at 4 p.m., and Weber State, Mar. 5, at noon.  All matches will be played in the Indoor Tennis Courts of cadet Gymnasium. The team is off to its best start since 2014.

LAST WEEKEND: Air Force won two of three matches in doubles and four of six in singles to secure a 5-2 victory over Richmond, Friday evening, in the Indoor Tennis Courts of Cadet Gymnasium, USAFA. Men's tennis continued its roll over the weekend by downing UC Riverside, 6-1, Sunday afternoon.

COMING UP: The Falcons travel to Sunny California to take on service academy rivals, Army West Point, on neutral ground at Stanford University, Mar. 10.  The following day, Mar. 11, the Falcons will take on Stanford at 11 a.m. (PT).

LAST TIME AGAINST DAYTON: In March of 2008, Air Force shut out the University of Dayton, 7-0, at the Academy.

Air Force captured the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles matches. Sophomore Brett Rodgers and freshman Taylor Soster improved to 12-8 overall and 9-6 at the No. 1 spot with an 8-3 triumph over James O'Connell and Dave Payton. Sophomore Mike Gies and freshman Johnny Buckingham won at No. 3, 8-4, over Brice Warnock and Mike Koscieski. Rodgers battled to a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles over O'Connell. Sophomore Austin Francis (No. 2), Soster (No. 3) and sophomore James Tomlin (No. 4) each won his singles match in straight sets. Buckingham pulled out a thrilling, 4-6, 6-3, (11-9) victory over Warnock at the No. 5 spot, while fellow freshman Alex Beaussart completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Chris Riccadella at No. 6 singles.

LAST TIME AGAINST WEBER STATE: Weber State defeated Air Force, 5-2, at the Air Force Academy Indoor Tennis Courts. The Wildcats opened the match by winning the doubles point and took four singles wins to secure the match. Air Force’s lone singles wins came by Jack McCullers at No. 1 with a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win over Todd Fought and by Luke Sanderson, who defeated Scott Hintze, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
