Shannon Buck Named to MWC 10th Anniversary Men's Tennis Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - 2006 graduate Shannon Buck has been named to the Mountain West Conference 10th Anniversary Men's Tennis Team. Buck, a two-time MWC Player of the Year, is No. 1 on Air Force's career list for dual match winning percentage in singles play at 92.2 percent with an 83-7 record, all at the No. 1 position. He is the only Falcon to participate in three NCAA Singles Championship Tournaments and was 17-3 at No. 1 singles against MWC opponents in his career.Buck is a 3rd-year medical student at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He is currently doing clinical rotations at two hospitals in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The 10th Anniversary Men's Tennis Team was selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel and online fan poll. In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been an all-Mountain West selection at least once in their careers. Anniversary teams will be chosen for each of the 19 conference-sponsored sports during the 2008-09 season in celebration of the Mountain West's 10th anniversary.
