The Air Force men's tennis team plays three matches this weekend, beginning with a road contest at the University of Denver on Friday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. The Falcons will then play a pair of home matches on Sunday, Feb. 10 against UMBC (9 a.m.) and Northern Colorado (3 p.m.).

The Falcons dropped a pair of matches in Utah last weekend, falling to the University of Utah, 5-2, and BYU, 6-1.
Senior Lance Wilhelm improved to 6-0 this season with a pair of straight-set wins at the No. 1 singles spot, including his second victory against a nationally-ranked player by defeating 85th-ranked Dmytro Mamedov of Utah, 6-3, 6-3. He also saved a set point in an exciting, 7-6(2), 7-6(7) win over Patrick Kawka of BYU.
The Falcons also won the doubles point against Utah, winning at the No. 1 and 3 spots. AFA's No. 3 team of juniors Alex Grubbs and Ali Rizvi handled Mamedov and Rafael Dividian, 8-3, while the No. 1 team of Wilhelm and sophomore Grant Taylor downed Ben Tasevac and Cedric Williams, 8-5.

Air Force head coach Dan Oosterhous is in his fourth season as the men's tennis coach after being named the program's 12th head coach on October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program. Oosterhous led the Falcons to an 11-13 record last season and has a 34-43 career mark.

Air Force travels to Kansas City to take on UMKC on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.
