The Air Force men’s tennis team will play three matches this weekend along the Front Range. The Falcons will open the weekend with a home match against 49th-ranked BYU on Friday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m., then will travel to Denver University to take on the No. 54 ranked Pioneers at 4 p.m. on Friday. Air Force will also play Northern Colorado in Greeley on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 9 a.m.
"Friday will be the toughest day of tennis for our team we've ever scheduled,” said Air Force head coach Dan Oosterhous. “But we have a very experienced team that's ready for the challenge."
The Falcons are 2-0 this spring after defeating Abilene Christian and Grand Canyon last weekend at home, each by a 6-1 score. Sophomore Jack McCullers was one of three Falcons to go 4-0 during the weekend and was named Mountain West Player of the Week. Seniors Steven Young and Alex Grubbs also went 4-0 last weekend.
