Falcons Host Eastern Washington, Denver This Weekend

    The Air Force men's tennis team opens a 14-match homestand with a pair of matches at the Academy this weekend. The Falcons (0-2) host Eastern Washington on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m., and the University of Denver on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.

    Air Force dropped a pair of matches on the road last weekend, falling8-1 to Point Loma and 4-3 to UC Riverside. Sophomore Johnny Buckingham posted the lone victory for the Falcons with a thrilling, three-set win at No. 6 singles against PLNC, while junior Austin Francis (No. 1) and freshman Cody Hall (No. 2) won against UC Riverside.

    In addition, the Falcons won the doubles point against UCR with wins at No. 2 (Brett Rodgers and Taylor Soster) and No. 3 (Buckingham and Mike Gies).

    Admission is free to the public.
