Falcons Finish Day Three at Region Tourney

    The Air Force men’s tennis team has two doubles teams still alive after day three of the 2010 USTA/ITA Mountain Region Championships at the Amanda & Stacy Darling Memorial Tennis Center in Las Vegas. Sophomore Lance Wilhelm and freshman Andy Jackson lost in the quarterfinals to Thomas Schubert and Spencer Smith of BYU, 8-3, and will play in the consolation bracket on Friday.

    Freshmen Lucas Marin-Salcedo and Steven Young won their only match on Friday, defeating Diego Campos and Markus Schlueter of Montana State when the Bobcat duo had to retire at 4-4.

    The final three AFA singles players were eliminated in the consolation round Friday as Jackson and fellow freshmen Alex Grubbs and Alex Linberry lost in the third round of consolation.
