Falcons Wrap Up Day Two at UNM Classic

    The Air Force men's tennis team wrapped up day two of the Lobo Balloon Fiesta Classic Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M., Saturday.

    Sophomore Cody Hall's run in the top singles flight ended in the quarterfinals with a tough, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Matej Stakne of New Mexico State. Senior Brett Rodgers is in the consolation final of the top flight after defeating Armando Morales of New Mexico State, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 in the consolation semis. He will face Hugo Ramadier of Northern Arizona on Sunday.

    In the "B" singles flight, freshman Vinni Lodolo won his quarterfinal match, 6-1, 7-5 over Matt Neeld of New Mexico, then lost in the semifinals to UNM's Conor Berg, 6-3, 6-0.

    In doubles play, Hall and freshman Lance Wilhelm lost in the semifinals to Phil Anderson and Carl Ho of New Mexico, 8-5, after beating David Flodberg and Patrick Shimmelbauer of Northern Arizona, 8-6.
