AFA Wraps up Play at Balloon Fiesta Classic

    The Air Force men's tennis team wrapped up play Sunday at the 2007 Balloon Fiesta Classic in Albuquerque, N.M. AFA's doubles team of sophomores Austin Francis and James Tomlin fell in the semifinals, 8-5, to Alejandro DeMucha and Stefan McKinney of New Mexico State.

    Sophomore Brett Rodgers and freshman Taylor Soster won their doubles match on Sunday, downing Danny Dominguez and Ben Mantell of New Mexico Military Institute, 8-2, in the consolation bracket.

    In singles, Francis won the consolation bracket for the "A" flight by defeating Josh Tolson of Glendale Community College, 6-4, 6-1, completing a four-match winning streak after losing his first-round match.

    The Falcons return to action on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Midland Racquet Club Invitational in Midland, Texas.
