Falcons Wrap Up Day Two at Baylor Invite

The Air Force men's tennis team wrapped up the second day of the Baylor Invitational Saturday in Waco, Texas. Six Falcons played in the "B" singles flight, with Air Force posting a 5-5 record. Freshman Alex Grubbs won both of his matches Saturday, advancing to the semifinals. Grubbs, the only Falcon still playing in the tournament, opened the day with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Ricardo Hopker of Texas-Pan American, then posted a 6-0, 6-4 triumph over Andy Wang of Rice in the quarterfinals. He will face Rice's Phillip Seifer in the semis on Sunday. The only other Falcon in the main bracket, senior Taylor Soster, lost his round of 16 match, falling in three sets to Elliott Minvielle of Louisiana-Lafayette, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1. Senior Alex Beaussart and freshmen Danny Gies and Alex Lineberry each split a pair of matches Saturday in the consolation bracket. Air Force Results
