Falcons Fall 5-1 to Nicholls State

The Nicholls State men's tennis team defeated Air Force, 5-1, Sunday morning in Arlington, Texas. The Colonels improved to 14-5, while the Falcons lost their ninth straight match to fall to 10-11. The two teams only played singles after moving indoors due to weather constraints. Senior Brett Rodgers notched Air Force's lone victory, winning the No. 4 match, 7-5, 2-6, (10-5) over Vlad Popa. The only other match to go three sets was the No. 1 match, where Radu Ionescu defeated freshman Lance Wilhelm, 7-5, 6-7, 6-3. The Falcons, who had their match against Texas-Arlington on Saturday rained out, plays their final regular season match next Saturday, April 24 against New Mexico at the Academy beginning at 11 a.m. Nicholls State 5, Air Force 1 Singles
