Air Force Downed by UNM, 7-0

The Air Force men's tennis team dropped its seventh consecutive match Saturday, falling to No. 46 New Mexico, 7-0, in Fort Worth, Texas. With the victory, New Mexico improved to 14-7 overall and 3-2 in the MWC, while the Falcons fell to 11-14 overall and 0-5 in league play. The Lobos captured the doubles point by sweeping all three doubles contests. Max Jones and Kamil Pajkowski won at No. 1, defeating seniors Robby Alexander and Ryan White, 8-3. Chris Parkes paired with his brother, Johnny, at No. 2, netting an 8-6 win over AFA freshmen Brett Rodgers and Austin Francis. Chandler Brass and Joe Nicolazzi won the No. 3 match over senior Keith Cronican and freshman James Tomlin, 8-2. In singles action, Jones notched a three-set win at No. 1 over Alexander, 6-1, 6-7, 1-0. Johnny Parkes, playing at No. 2, downed Rodgers, 6-1, 6-0, while Miles Bugby beat Cronican, 6-2, 7-5, at the No. 3 spot. The Lobos captured the other three matches in straight sets.
