    The 66th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team won its second straight Mountain West Conference match, 6-1 over Air Force Sunday at a windy Fertitta Tennis Complex. With wins at the top two doubles spots, Air Force won the doubles point against a conference opponent for the first time since the 2003 season. With the victory, UNLV improved to 12-8 overall and 2-1 in the league while the Falcons fell to 10-9 and 0-4.

    Senior Brett Rodgers and junior Taylor Soster snapped a two-match losing streak with an 8-4 victory at the No. 1 doubles position over Johannes Markel and Bernard Schoeman, while senior Austin Francis and freshman Lance Wilhelm defeated Attila Toth and Kasper Konyves , 8-6, at No. 2. UNLV's only win came at No. 3 where Luca Barlocchi and Matthew Kunkel prevailed 8-4 over junior Alex Beaussart and freshman Sam Barnes.

    The Rebels took control of the match in singles, losing just one set. Austin took Barlocchi to a super-tiebreaker before falling at No. 2, 6-4, 5-7, (10-7). UNLV won the other five matches in straight sets, including a 6-3, 6-3 win by Markel over Wilhelm at the top spot.

    The Falcons play three matches in Texas next weekend, beginning on Friday, April 16 against TCU in Fort Worth at 10 a.m.
