Falcons Blanked by No. 30 Boise State, 7-0

The Air Force men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to 30th-ranked Boise State Saturday at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho. The Falcons fell to 8-10 overall and 0-4 in the Mountain West, while Boise improved to 19-6 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Boise State swept all nine matches, including all six singles matches in straight sets. In doubles action, AFA's No. 2 team of sophomores Alex Grubbs and Andy Jackson held a match point before falling to Andy Bettles and Filipp Pogostkin, 9-8(3).
Jackson then produced the best singles match for Air Force at the No. 5 spot, pushing Scott Sears to two tough sets, 7-5, 6-4.
Air Force battles Weber State on Sunday, April 7 at 10 a.m. in Boise.
