Falcons Drop Home Finale to Montana, 6-1

The Air Force men's tennis team dropped its final home match of the 2008-09 campaign Saturday evening, falling 6-1 to the University of Montana at the Academy. The Falcons fell to 7-14 this season, while the Grizzlies improved to 7-6. Montana took an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches. The best match was at the No. 2 position, where UM's duo of Felipe Raw and Raydner Ramos defeated Air Force junior Brett Rodgers and sophomore Taylor Soster, 9-8, winning the tie-break 7-5. Air Force freshman Cody Hall was the lone Falcon winner on Saturday, capturing the No. 2 match with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Mikolaj Borkowski. Montana won the other five singles matches in straight sets. The Falcons wrap up the regular season next weekend with three Mountain West Conference matches in San Diego, Calif., against Utah, BYU and TCU.
