No. 48 San Diego State Downs Air Force, 7-0

The Air Force men's tennis team fell to 48th-ranked San Diego State, 7-0, Friday morning in Albuquerque, N.M. The Aztecs improved to 12-6 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West Conference, while the Falcons fell to 10-12 and 0-4 in league play. San Diego State won all three doubles matches then rolled through all six singles matches in straight sets. Bartoza Golas and Juan Gomez led things off with an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles over sophomore Brett Rodgers and freshman Taylor Soster. Achim Ceban and Tim Schulz Van Endert clinched the point by defeating sophomore Austin Francis and freshman Alex Beaussart, 8-3, at No. 2. The Aztecs won all six singles matches in convincing fashion, not losing more than two games in any match. Golas won the No. 1 match over Rodgers, 6-0, 6-2, while Matan Shitrit defeated Francis, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot. Gomez then clinched the team match for SDSU by beating Soster, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3.
