NAU Downs Air Force, 6-1

The Air Force men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Northern Arizona University Thursday at the Academy. Freshman Taylor Soster notched his sixth consecutive victory, pulling out the No. 3 singles match, 6-4, 6-7, (10-4) over Bradley Bristow. The Falcons fell to 9-8 this season. NAU jumped out to a 1-0 lead with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles. Soster did pair with sophomore Brett Rodgers to win the No. 1 doubles match, 8-3, over Jeffrey Morrys and Ryan Frasier. Morrys made it 2-0 for the Lumberjacks with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Rodgers at the No. 1 singles spot. Chris Arena downed AFA sophomore Austin Francis at No. 2, 6-3, 6-3, while NAU's David Flodberg beat freshman Johnny Buckingham, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. Nacob Tracy won at No. 5 for NAU, defeating freshman Alex Beaussart, and Frasier capped it for the Lumberjacks by winning the No. 6 match, 4-6, 7-5, (11-9) over sophomore Mike Gies. The Falcons play their final home match of the season on Saturday, March 22 against UMKC at 9 a.m. Northern Arizona 6, Air Force 1 Singles
