    The Air Force men's tennis team rebounded from a tough defeat Friday afternoon to defeat Northern Colorado, 6-1, Saturday at the Academy. The Falcons, who won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles contests, improved to 8-6 overall this season.

    Air Force won at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles in taking an early 1-0 lead. Sophomore Brett Rodgers and freshman Taylor Soster won for the third straight time, downing Vinnie Fallico and Paul Tschetter, 8-6, at No. 1. Sophomore Mike Gies and freshman Johnny Buckingham won the No. 3 match, 8-3, over Eric Morin and Andrew Buzako.

    Rodgers and Soster each won his singles match on Saturday as well. Rodgers was stretched to three sets by Fallico at No. 1 before winning 6-7, 6-1, 6-4, while Soster handled Ryan Dunn at the No. 4 spot, 6-1, 6-2. Sophomore Austin Francis downed UNC's Austin Nunn at No. 2, 7-6, 6-1 and Buckingham and fellow freshman Alex Beaussart won at No. 5 and 6, respectively, in straight sets.

    Tschetter won the lone singles match for the Bears, downing AFA sophomore James Tomlin, 6-4, 7-6 at the No. 3 position.

    Air Force continues its six-match homestand on Sunday, March 16 against Dayton beginning at 10 a.m.
