Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 3 Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Air Force battled No. 3 Stanford to a 4-0 loss, Sunday afternoon, at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.  The Falcons drop to 9-7 on the season.

The Cardinal’s top doubles team of Tom Fawcett and Axel Geller didn’t drop a game in its win at the No. 1 spot and the No. 2 doubles team of Timothy Sah and David Wilczynski clinched the doubles point for Stanford with a 6-1 victory.

Sameer Kumar, playing at No. 1 singles, gave Stanford its second point with a 6-3, 6-1 win. Moments later, Sam Turchetta posted a 6-4, 6-0 win at the No. 6 spot and William Genesen clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 spot.

Air Force will host Fresno State in Mountain West conference action, Mar. 23, at noon.
