Falcons Drop 7-0 Decision to No. 52 Denver

The Air Force men's tennis team dropped its third consecutive match Friday, falling 7-0 to 52nd-ranked Denver in Denver, Colo. The Pioneers evened their record at 2-2, while the Falcons fell to 3-4. DU took an early 1-0 lead with wins at the top two doubles spots. Air Force won the No. 3 match as juniors Steven Young and Andy Jackson defeated Luke Manley and Alex Clinkenbeard, 8-6. The Pioneers then swept the six singles matches but Air Force sent two of them to a third set. Senior Lance Wilhelm lost his first match of the season, falling to 47th-ranked Enej Bonin, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. Wilhelm is now 6-1 at the top spot this season. Young also extended the No. 3 match to three sets before falling to Max Krammer, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. DU won the other four matches in straight sets The Falcons host two matches on Sunday, Feb. 10. They will play UMBC at 9 a.m. and Northern Colorado at 3 p.m. Denver 7, Air Force 0 Doubles Singles
