The Air Force men's tennis team lost its second consecutive match of the 2007 spring season Sunday, dropping a 7-0 decision to the UC Riverside Highlanders in Poway, Calif. The win marked the second year in a row that the Highlanders have opened their season with a win over the Falcons.

UC Riverside swept the three doubles matches to claim the double point. Jonathan Calienes and Mark Contreras cruised to an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over Robby Alexander and Ryan White, setting the tone for the afternoon.

In singles play, the Highlanders took five of the six matches in straight sets. Contreras picked up a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles over Alexander, while Bobby Tam won 6-2, 6-4 over Brett Rodgers at No. 2. The only three-set match was at the No. 3 spot, where Joe Cartledge snuck by Falcon freshman Mike Youn, 6-4, 6-7, 10-8.
