Capt. Jerry Ledzinski enters his fourth season as the assistant men's coach at the Academy. A four-year letterman at the Academy, Ledzinski is one of the most celebrated players in school history. Ledzinski ranks sixth in AFA history in career singles wins with 83, including 50 at No. 1 singles. He is third in school history with 69 career doubles wins. In 1994, Ledzinski became the first Falcon to play in the NCAA National Singles Championships after posting a 24-5 overall record. The following year, Ledzinski was 26-4 and set a school record for wins at No. 1 singles. He earned all-conference honors in each season. Ledzinski graduated from the Academy in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in basic sciences. He returned to the Academy the following year to work as an assistant coach. Prior to rejoining the staff in 1999, Ledzinski was stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base as a contract negotiator in the Titan Rocket Special Program office. Originally from Carmel, Calif., Ledzinski graduated from Robert Louis Stevenson High School in 1991. He was ranked No. 1 in 18s in Northern California and won the Central Coast Section High School Championship. He was also a finalist for the 1990 Fiesta Bowl and finished fourth at the 1990 International Hardcourt Championships. |
