Air Force men's tennis player Lance Wilhelm has been named the Senior of the Year for the Mountain Region, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Wilhelm will be one of 12 players from across the country on the ballot for the national award, to be announced later this month.

The Air Force men's tennis program honored the 2012-13 team at its annual banquet Friday night. Senior Lance Wilhelm was named the team's Most Valuable Player for the fourth consecutive season, becoming just the second player in program history to win four MVP awards.

The Air Force Acaemy will host the 2013 Mountain West Tennis Championships this weekend. The Air Force men's team opens play on Thursday, April 25 at 2 p.m. The Falcons, seeded seventh at the tournament, will play No. 2 seed Boise State in the quarterfinals.
