Falcon Swimmers Head to UCI/Nike Cup

The Air Force men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action this week, Nov. 15-17, at the UCI/Nike Cup, being held at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. each day with finals starting at 6:00 p.m. for both men and women. About the Nike Cup... Scouting the Falcon Women... Leading the Falcons against the Frogs was junior Jane Hwang, who captured first place in the 200 IM, while senior Danielle Dowds took first place in the 1-meter dive. Hwang currently ranks seventh in the MWC in the 200 IM and ninth in the 200 free. Scouting the Falcon Men... Sophomore Sean O'Keefe led Air Force with three wins on the weekend, while juniors Bryan Avery and Kai Yamashiro notched wins as well. O'Keefe and Tom Hansen rank third and fourth, respectively, in the conference in the 1650 free, while Justin Day owns the fourth-fastest time in the 100 breaststroke. Up Next...
