The Air Force men's swimming and diving team returns to action this weekend, Oct. 31, with a dual meet at service academy rival Army. Action is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. (ET).

    Last Time Out...
The Air Force men's swimming and diving team opened its dual slate last weekend with a tri-meet versus Colorado School of Mines and Denver. The Falcons defeated CSM, 204-39, but fell to the host Pioneers, 138-102.

Leading the Air Force individuals were senior Justin Day, who took first place in the 100 breaststroke, and sophomore Robert Dawson, who won the 50 freestyle. The Falcons also took first place in the 200 free relay, with Bryan Avery, Chris Morin, Kai Yamashiro and Dawson registering the winning time. Meanwhile, junior Kyle Van Valkenburg was Air Force's top diver, finishing third on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events.

    Scouting the Falcons...
Air Force enters this weekend's match-up with a 1-1 dual record following last weekend's tri-meet.

Three different Falcons hold the fastest times of the season in the Mountain West Conference in their respective events. Freshman Robert Dawson ranks first in the conference in the 50 free, senior Kai Yamashiro is first in the 100 backstroke and sophomore Benjamin Gunn is first in the 200 IM. The Falcons also hold the top times in the conference in both the 200 freestyle relay and the 200 medley relay.

    Scouting the Black Knights...
The Army men's swimming and diving team enter this weekend with a 1-1 dual record, with a win over Stony Brook and loss to UMass.

Leading the Black Knights last weekend against UMass was junior James McLaughlin, who swept both breaststroke events, while sophomore Will Blickle took first place in the 200 IM.

    The Air Force-Army Series...
The Air Force and Army men's swimming and diving teams have competed head-to-head just twice all-time. The series began in the 1962-63 season, with Army taking the victory. Meanwhile, the last meeting between the Falcons and Black Knights came in 1998, when Air Force came out on top to tie the series.

Floswimming at the Air Force Academy...
On Oct. 22-25, Floswimming spent several days visiting the Air Force Academy to examine the swimming program, both in the pool and out. The coverage features video tours and interviews to give swimming fans an inside look at Air Force.
