Air Force Men’s Swimming & Diving Announces 2005-06 Schedule
USAF Academy, Colo. -- Five home meets, including the Air Force Diving Invitational, highlight the Air Force Men's swimming & diving schedule for the 2005-06 season, released today by head coach Rob Clayton. The Falcons open the season Oct. 14, hosting Denver.
After traveling up to Fort Collins to take part in the Early Bird Invitational from Oct. 21-22, Air Force hosts a five-way meet on the 29th of October, hosting Metro State, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado College and Nebraska-Kearney. In November, the Falcons travel to Texas for a pair of meets and also travel to California to take part in the Speedo Cup in Long Beach, Calif. Air Force swims against SMU on Nov. 4 and will swim at new MWC member, TCU, in Forth Worth, Texas, the following day, Nov. 5. The Falcons then head west to take part in the Speedo Cup from Nov. 17-19. The Falcons are off the entire month of December before returning to action with a full-slate on meets in January. The Falcons open 2006 in Boca Raton, Fla., swimming against Florida Atlantic and Purdue on Jan. 6. After swimming at Denver on Jan. 20, and at UNLV on Jan. 21, Air Force returns home to host BYU on the 26th and Utah on the 28th. The Falcons wrap-up the regular season with a dual against Wyoming on Feb. 4, in Laramie, Wyo. The Air Force diving team will also participate in all of the Falcons' duals except the FAU/Purdue three-way. In addition, the divers will take part in the USC invite from Nov. 11-12, in Los Angeles and will again be hosting the AFA Diving Invite, running Jan. 27-28. The Falcons will then take part in the 2006 MWC Swimming & Diving Championships, held Feb. 22-25, in Oklahoma City, Okla. This year's NCAA Championships takes place in Atlanta, Ga., from March 23-25. --30--
