USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's swimming & diving has accepted an invitation to re-join the Western Athletic Conference beginning this fall of 2013. The Falcons were previous members of the WAC from 1980-1999.

The seven-team conference will consist of Air Force, CSU Baskersfield, Grand Canyon, North Dakota, Seattle, Wyoming and UNLV. The conference championships will be held at the Palo Alto Aquatic Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Air Force spent the last two seasons, from 2011-13 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). From 1999-2001, Air Force was a member of the Mountain West.

"It's kind of a return to home for us in regards to joining the WAC," Air Force men's swimming head coach Rob Clayton said. "This conference is a much better fit for us. The group of schools we will compete against will allow our depth to shine through. It is also great for us in that we get to keep our long-standing rivalries with schools like Wyoming and UNLV. In addition, we are excited about having the WAC Championships at the Palo Alto Aquatic Center in San Antonio, which is a top-notch venue."
