DENVER, Colo. – Eight members of the Air Force men’s swimming and diving teams were named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic team, as announced by the league office.
Andrew Antonetti (So., Valparaiso, Ind.), Jordan Dahle (Jr., Salt Lake City, Utah), Erich Drollinger (So., Salinas, Calif.), Andrew Faciszewski (Jr., Bluffton, S.C.), George Frank (Sr., Jacksonville, Fla.), Joey Gebhart (So., Boulder City, Nev.), Nicholas Piontek (So., Warrensburg, Mo.) and Nathanael Zillweger (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) were all honored for their for efforts in the classroom.
Dahle, Faciszewski and Zillweger made the team for the third time. Antonetti, Frank, Gebhart and Piontek were honored for the second time while Drollinger made the team for the first time.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.
