Knaute places 21st in 500 free at NCAA's

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Air Force senior Chris Knaute placed 21st in the men's 500 yard freestyle in day one action at the 2007 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota.

The senior clocked in with a time of 4:20.64, which was .64 seconds off his career best and school record.

Knaute returns to action tomorrow where he will participate in the 400 individual medley. He will also swim the 1650 free on Saturday.
