Air Force Set to Host 2008 NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals

    USAFA, Colo. - The Air Force Academy will be the host institution for the 2008 NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals, to be held March 13-15 in Oklahoma City, Okla. The competition will take place at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatic Center, home to the Zone E Diving Regionals for the sixth-straight season.

    Competition begins Thursday with the men's 3-meter diving, followed by the women's 1-meter. Friday's action will start with the women's 3-meter, followed by the men's 1-meter, while the regional concludes Saturday with the platform diving events.

    NCAA Championship qualifiers will be announced at the conclusion of Saturday's events.

    Representing Air Force at this year's diving regionals is sophomore Kyle Van Valkenburg (Tucson, Ariz.). Van Valkenburg earned All-MWC honors in both the platform and 1-meter dive, winning the conference title in the platform, while finishing fourth at 1-meter.

    Thursday, March 13

    Men's 3M - 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (CT)
    Women's 1M - 4:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

    Friday, March 14
    Women's 3M - 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Men's 1M - 3:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

    Saturday, March 15
    Men's Platform - 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
    Women's Platform - 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
