Falcons Place 10 On All-MPSF Swimming & Diving Team

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's swimming & diving placed 10 athletes on the 2012-13 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming & Diving All-Conference Team. First team all-conference selections are awarded to the top three finishers in the individual events and top relay team finisher at the MPSF Championships. Second team selections are awarded to the fourth-through-eighth individual finishers and the second and third place relays.

    Air Force placed five divers and five swimmers on the all-conference team. Senior Matt Millikin and freshman Dominic Vallejo led the way with two all-conference performances.

    Millikin earned first-team honors in the 200 back and second-team honors in the 100 back. Millikin swam the second-fastest 200 back time in school history and the third-fastest 100 back time. Vallejo earned first-team honors with a runner-up finish in the platform diving and took second-team honors in the 1-meter diving.

    Senior Brent White was the third Falcon to earn first-team honors. White placed third overall in the 1-meter diving.

    Two more divers earned second-team honors. Freshman Nathaniel Zillweger placed eighth overall in the 1-meter diving and junior Alex Pecci was sixth in the platform diving.

    A trio of Falcons earned second-team honors in the 1650 free. Sophomore Max Evans-Nolan led the way with a fourth place finish. Freshman Kevin Jackson followed in seventh and sophomore Alex Strom was eighth.

     

     

    Joining Millikin in the 100 back was eighth-place finisher junior Angus MacDonald. Freshman Michael Barnosky also earned second-team honors with a sixth place finish in the 100 breast.
