Falcon Swimmers Complete Day One Action At U.S. Winter Nationals

    Day One Results

    ATLANTA, Ga.- Six Air Force swimmers competed in day one action at the 2011 AT&T Winter National Championships, held Dec. 1-3 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. A pair of Falcons competed in preliminary competion and four swam in time trial competition.

    On the men’s side, senior Corydon Butler placed 49th in the 400 meter freestyle, clocking in with a time of 4:04.67. Junior Matt Millikin placed sixth in the 100 back time trials with a time of 1:00.07. Senior Anthony Chiaro and junior Kaleb Jenkins swam the 100 fly time trials with Jenkins taking seventh (58.20) and Chiaro eighth (58.45).

    On the women’s side freshman Kim Davis placed 77th in the 200 medley prelims with a time of 2:22.44. Sophomore Erin Bleyl took seventh in the 100 free time trials with a time of 1:00.19.

    Day two action is Friday.
