    Day Two Results Get Acrobat Reader

    COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Air Force men's swimming & diving remains in third place after day two action at the Art Adamson Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M University Thursday at the Texas A&M Student Recreation Natatorium.

    The Falcons, with 528 points, trails Texas A&M (810.5) and LSU (562.5) in the six-team invite.

    Air Force continued to swim well, posting seven swims that cracked the Academy Top 10 list and three that earned NCAA B Cuts.

    Leading the way was sophomore Michael Barnosky, who won the 100 yard breaststroke with a `B' cut time of 54.25. It was the second-fastest 100 breast time in school history.

    Senior Angus MacDonald and junior Ryan Dunne also earned `B' cuts in their respective swims. MacDonald took fifth in the 100 back with a time of 48.49. Dunne took third in the 100 fly with a time 48.07. Both MacDonald and Dunne's swims were the second-fastest times in their events in school history.

    In the 400 medley, the Falcons had a pair of top-five finishes. Freshman Andrew Facizewski took fourth with a time of 3:55.81, which was the fourth-fastest at the Academy. Sophomore Kevin Jackson took sixth with a time of 3:56.46. It was the sixth-fastest at AFA.

    The Falcons also had another top 10 finish in the 100 fly. Sophomore Kevin Mitchell took sixth place with a time of 49.22, which is ninth-fastest in school history.

    Freshman Devon Davis placed 15th in the 100 back. His prelim time of 49.93 was the seventh-fastest in school history.

    In the diving events, freshman A.J. Eckebrecht was the top finisher in the men's 3-meter diving, placing 18th with 251.50 points. Junior Lainie Long was AFA's top diver in the women's 1-meter diving placing seventh with 264.10 points.

    Day three of the three-day meet resumes tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 23.
