Men's Swimming Completes Day Two Action At Arena Invite

    LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Air Force men's swim team completed day two action Friday at the Arena Invite at the Belmont Swim Complex. Air Force's 800 free relay group led the way with a fourth place finish.

    In the 800 free relay, the group of Ryan Dunne, Paul Leonhardt, Jon Jones and Corydon Butler combined to swim a season-best time of 6:43.29. The Falcons took eighth place in the 200 medley relay. The group of Angus MacDonald, Deacon, Leonhardt and Micah Newmann swam a time of 1:31.92.

    In the 400 medley, Mark Hansen led the way with an 18th place finish with a finals time of 4:00.81. Sam Sloan followed in 24th, Sam Wieser 25th, and Ryan Brigman 28th.

    In the 100 fly, Leonhardt led the way with a 14th place finish with a time of 49.73. Kaleb Jenkins followed in 16th, MacDonald 24th, Nate Roesler 29th, Kyle Casias 35th, Anthony Chiaro 39th, Jonathan Eng 45th, Cole Smith 46th and Matt Milliking 48th.

    In the 200 free Dunne led the way with a 14th place finish with a time of 1:40.41. Jones followed in 16th, Tim Martinelli 22nd, Butler 25th, Alex Strom 29th and Max Evans-Nolan 53rd.

     

     

    In the 100 breast Deacon was Air Force's top individual finisher on the day, taking eighth place with a time 56.59. Wieser followed in 20th and Jenkins 24th.

    In the 100 back, MacDonald led the way, placing 12th with a time of 50.73. Millikin followed in 26th, Roesler 28th and Casias 30th.

    Day three of the three-day meet is Saturday, Nov. 19.
