Air Force Men's Swimming & Diving in close contest at Arizona State

    Results

    TEMPE, Ariz.- Air Force men's swimming & diving dropped a 158-142 meet at Arizona State Saturday afternoon. The Falcons (6-5) were led by a pair of wins by junior Ryan Dunne and sophomore Kevin Jackson.

    The Falcons won five individual events. Dunne won both sprint freestyle events, taking the 50 free (20.69) and 100 free (45.58). Jackson won the distance free events, winning the 500 free (4:38.19) and 1000 free (9:36.28). Michael Barnosky won the 100 breast with a time of 55.93.

    The Falcons also had eight second place individual finishes and two second place relays.

    In the diving events, sophomore Nathaniel Zillweger led the way for the Falcons, taking second in the 1-meter diving (271.60) and third in the 3-meter (237.05).

    The Falcon women also dove vs. ASU and UCLA. Junior Lainie Long led the Falcons, taking fourth in the 3m (243.20) and fifth in the 1m (238.45).

    Air Force returns to action Nov. 21-23, at the Texas A&M Invitational.
