STOCKTON, Calif. - The Air Force men's swim team handily defeated Seattle University and host Pacific on the first day of a quad meet Friday, November 4, at Kjeldsen Pool. The Falcons outscored Seattle U 118.5-86.5 and Pacific 118-86 to improve their team record to 7-1 on the season.
Air Force took first place in five of 11 events on the day, sweeping both relay events.
The Falcons opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay. Angus MacDonald, Cody Deacon, Nate Roesler and Cole Smith swam a winning time of 1:34.93. Air Force closed out the meet by winning the 200 free relay. MacDonald, Paul Leonhardt, Ryan Dunne and Jonathan Eng swam a winning time of 1:26.37.
Freshman Max Evans-Nolan led four Falcons who placed in the top five in the 1650 free, with a winning time of 15:48.20. Evans-Nolan's time was just under a second outside the school's all-time top-10 list.
Junior Anthony Chiaro led a 1-2-3 sweep by AFA in the 100 butterfly. Chiaro swam a winning time of 52.09. Senior Cody Deacon was AFA's third individual winner, taking first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.62.
The meet continues at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 4.
