USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force swimming & diving split a pair of dual meets Friday night at the Cadet Natatorium. The men's team dropped a close 124-118 event to Notre Dame. The women continued to roll in a 191-105 win over New Mexico State.

The Falcon men fell to 6-2, while the women improved to 8-0.

The Falcon women won all 14 events and had a pair of freshmen crack the Air Force Top 10 lists. Leading the way was junior Kim Davis, who won three individual events and a relay.

Davis won the 200 free (1:52.65), 200 breast (2:21.69) and 200 medley (2:08.66).

Freshmen Genevieve Miller and Kira Schlosberg cracked the AFA record book with their winning swims. Miller swam the 10th-fastest 1000 free time in school history (10:25.82) and Schlosberg swam the 10th-fastest 100 breast time in Academy history (1:05.61). Miller also won the 500 free with a time of 5:05.71.

Senior Samantha Laughlin won both backstroke events, taking the 100 back with a time of 56.54 and the 200 back with a time of 2:04.07. Senior Gabbrielle Aranda won the 100 fly with a time of 58.63 and sophomore Jenna Tasic won the 200 fly with a time of 2:09.82.

Senior Erin Bleyl won both sprint free events, taking the 50 free with a time of 24.36 and the 100 free with a time of 53.35.

The Falcons took both relay events to open and close the meet. The group of Laughlin, Schlosberg, Aranda and Davis won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.10. The group of Laughlin, Miller, Maddy Huttner and Bleyl won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:32.82.

The Air Force men won six of 14 events. Sophomore Michael Barnosky and freshman Kevin Facizewski led the way with a pair of wins. Barnosky won the 200 breast with a time of 2:07.34 and the 200 medley with a time of 1:56.78. Facizewski won the 500 (4:44.11) and 1000 free (9:49.92).

The Falcons also got wins in the 100 free and 100 fly. Senior Micah Newmann won the 100 free with a time of 44.11. Junior Ryan Dunne won the 100 fly with a time of 49.94.

The Falcons closed out the meet by winning the 400 free relay. The group of Dunne, Jackson Locke, George Frank and Micah Newmann swam a winning time of 3:03.86.

The Falcon men return to action Saturday, Nov. 2, at Wyoming. The Falcon women return to action Saturday at Denver. The Falcon divers will host Wyoming on Friday and Saturday (split squad Saturday with some divers headed to Denver).
