Air Force Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Meet At TCU

    FORT WORTH, Texas - The Air Force men's swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet at TCU, 162-138, Friday night at the TCU URC Natatorium. The Falcons drop to 3-1, 0-1 (MWC) on the year.

    The Horned Frogs (1-0, 1-0) extended their dual-winning streak to 10 wins, including eight-straight duals against MWC competition.

    The Falcons led early on, taking first place in three of the first four events. But TCU took the lead in the sixth event and pulled away later by winning five of the final six events.

    Senior Benjamin Gunn led Air Force by winning the 100 yard backstroke, 200 back and 100 butterfly events. Gunn clocked a time of 50.65 in the 100 back, 1:50.45 in the 200 back and 50.31 in the 100 fly.

    Junior Corydon Butler took first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:28.75. Freshman Paul Leonhardt won the 200 free with a time of 1:41.68.

    Air Force had a 1-2 finish in the 50 free with senior Robert Dawson winning with a time of 21.47 and junior Cole Smith following with a time of 21.54.

    In the 1-meter springboard diving event, freshman Peter Cialkowski was AFA's top finisher, taking second with 256.80 points. Senior Nathaniel Gilbert took third with 247.05 points and sophomore Brent White took fifth with 217.20 points.

    In the 3-meter diving, freshman Alex Pecci took second with 199.05 points. Cialkowski was fourth with 171.68 points and Gilbert fifth with 155.33 points.
