Day Three Completed At 2013 NCAA Zone E Diving Regional

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Day three and final day action at the 2013 NCAA Zone E Diving Regional took place Saturday at the Cadet Natatorium. Haley Ishimatsu of USC won the women's platform diving competition, while Kristian Ipsen of Stanford won the men's platform diving.

    Ishimatsu, who won the women's 1-meter diving yesterday, won the women's platform with 729.85 points. Kahley Rowell of Cal, followed in second place with 601.60 points. Hannah Prigge of Fresno State was third with 582.15 points.

    Ipsen swept the competition with a win in th platform with 856.60 points. Ipsen won the 3-meter competition Thursday and 1-meter diving on Friday. Rafael Quintero of Arizona followed in second place with 828.25 points. Taylor Sishc of Stanford was third with 698.10 points.

    Air Force had four competitors in the platform. Sophomore Lainie Long placed 20th in the women's plaform with 198.30 points. Freshman Dominic Vallejo placed 16th in the men's platform with 258.00 points. Classmate Nathaniel Zillweger was 19th with 237.55 points. Senior Brent White was 21st with 208 points.

    Nine women and eight men (two alternates for both) were selected for the NCAA Championships. Ishimatsu led the way for the women's side and Ipsen for the men's side.
