    LOS ANGELES - The Air Force men's swim team completed day two action at the 2012 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming & Diving Championships at Los Angeles College. The Falcons sit in eighth place with 79 points after day two of the four-day competition.

    Senior Corydon Butler led the Falcons with a a second place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. Butler set personal bests in back-to-back swims, clocking a 4:25.39 mark during the prelims and his finals time of 4:25.14 is the fourth-fastest mark in school history.

    Ryan Brigman followed Butler in the 500 free, placing 19th, Alex Strom was 27th, Max Evans-Nolan was 32nd and Jon Jones was 36th.

    Air Force's top swimmer in the 200 individual medley was junior Mark Hansen, who placed 27th with a time of 1:54.19. Sam Wieser followed in 29th.

    Senior Cole Smith led the Falcons in the 50 free, taking 24th with a prelim time of 20.93, which was the fastest 50 time by a Falcon all season. Tim Martinelli followed in 30th, Cody Deacon was 33rd and Anthony Chiaro took 37th.

    In the men's 1m diving, sophomore Alex Pecci led AFA with a 14th place finish, scoring 269.35 points in the finals. Brent White followed in 16th place.

    The Falcons finished the day by taking fifth in the 400 medley relay. Angus MacDonald, Deacon, Kaleb Jenkins and Martinelli swam a season-best time of 3:17.06.
