    DENVER, Colo. - Air Force men's swimming & diving lost by just a two point margin, 156-154, at Denver Saturday afternoon at the El Pomar Natatorium. The inaugural Boone Eliminator featured mainly sprint races, along with exhibition time trials.

    Freshman Michael Barnosky and sophomore Ryan Dunne led the Falcons with wins in the 50 yard breaststroke and 50 freestyle. In addition, senior Brent White won the 1-meter diving.

    Both Barnosky and Dunne won all three heats of their respective events. Barnosky lowered his times in all three swims, finishing with a finals 50 breast time of 25.64. Dunne had his top time in the 50 free semifinals, with a time of 20.63. In addition, Dunne placed second in the 100 individual medley final.

    White took first in the 1m diving with 307.95 points. Freshman Dominic Vallejo finished second for the Falcons in the 3m diving with 331.35 points.

    Air Force also finished second in the 200 free relay. The group of Angus MacDonald, Robert Graves, Anthiny Chiaro and Tim Martinelli had a time of 1:24.02.

    The Falcons will return to action at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, beginning Feb. 20.
