Air Force Men's Swimming & Diving Swims at UNLV Saturday

    LAS VEGAS, Nev.- Air Force men’s swimming and diving went 1-2 in head-to-competition against UNLV, Denver and Bakersfield at UNLV Saturday afternoon. The Falcons (12-8) defeated Bakersfield 224-75 and fell to UNLV 196-101 and also lost to Denver.

    Air Force was led by junior Ryan Dunne and sophomore Dominic Vallejo. Dunne took second in the 100 yard freestyle (45.62) and third in the 50 free (20.92). Vallejo was the top Falcon diver, taking second in the 1-meter springboard (267.10) and fourth in the 3m springboard (264.50).

    The Falcons got third place finishes out of sophomore Michael Barnosky in the 100 breast (56.87) and freshman Devon Davis in the 100 back (50.65).

    The Falcons had fourth place finishes from sophomore Kevin Jackson in the 1650 free (16:07.23) and junior Alex Strom in the 200 free (1:41.98).

    Air Force’s top relay was the 400 free relay group. Dunne, sophomore George Frank, senior Micah Newmann and freshman Jackson Locke swam a second-place time of 3:03.95.

    The Falcons close out their regular season on Feb. 1 against Denver.
