AFA’s four seniors, Kyle Cressy, Ben Chavez, John Melcher and Eric Wilson, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony. Air Force Clinches Second Place in Mountain DivisionThe Falcons swept a pair of home games last weekend to clinch second place in the MPSF’s Mountain Division. The Falcons used a Zane Dydasco goal 325 seconds into the second overtime to beat Seattle Univ., 2-1, on Friday, then Kevin Durr assisted on goals by Ben Chavez and Brian Klazura in a 2-1 upset over 22nd-ranked CSU Bakersfield. Most Wins in Eight YearsAir Force’s 10 wins are the most in one season since the 2003 season, when the Falcons finished 10-9-1. Durr Named MPSF Player of the WeekJunior midfielder Kevin Durr was named the MPSF Player of the Week after leading the Falcons to two wins last weekend. With his two assists on Sunday, Durr leads the team with 20 points and is No. 2 in the MPSF and tied for No. 4 nationally with 10 assists. Air Force Also Clinches Spot in MPSF TournamentWith their two wins last weekend, the Falcons earned a spot in the 2011 MPSF Tournament, which begins Thursday, Nov. 10 in Denver. The Falcons can be either the No. 3, 4 or 5 seed at the tournament, depending on this weekend’s results.
