Air Force senior forward Conor Henry was named to the Capital One Academic All-District men's soccer team today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Henry earned first-team District VII honors for the second consecutive season and will now be placed on the national Division I Academic All-America ballot.
Henry, from Bourne, Md., is a two-time Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-academic selection and Mountain West scholar-athlete. He currently maintains a 3.7 grade-point average and is majoring in systems engineering management.
Henry has one goal and two assists the season for the Falcons, his only goal the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Penn at the 2012 Penn Soccer Classic. He has five goals and six assists in his career.
The Falcons, 8-7-3 overall and 5-2-2 in the MPSF, close out their 2012 regular season this Saturday, Nov. 3 against the University of Denver, beginning at 7 p.m. at CIBER Field in Denver.
