    Air Force sophomore forward Dan Walsh was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer player of the week after helping the Falcons post a 2-0 record last weekend against New Mexico and UNLV.

    Walsh, a 6-foot-1, 160-pounder from Colorado Springs, scored two goals late in the first half in a 7-3 pounding of New Mexico, then scored a goal and handed out an assist in the Falcons' 5-0 drubbing of UNLV. The Air Academy High School product is currently third on the squad with 13 points on six goals and one assist. Walsh is the third Falcon to win the award this season.

    Air Force, ranked No. 19 in this week's NSCAA/Adidas Top 25 poll, are 11-2 overall and leads the MPSF with a 4-0 mark.

    The Falcons continue MPSF play this weekend with their final home game of the season against in-state rival Denver. The game begins at 1 p.m. at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
