Falcons Head to California For Pair of League Games
The Air Force Falcons remain on the road for a pair of MPSF games this weekend, beginning on Friday, Oct. 21 against San Jose State at 5 p.m. in San Jose, Calif. On Sunday, the Falcons face Sacramento State at 1 p.m. in Sacramento, Calif.
The Falcons are 7-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the MPSF after splitting a pair of games on the road last weekend.
    Air Force Gets Some Revenge
The Falcons split a pair of road games last weekend, defeating UNLV 4-0 and losing to 6th-ranked New Mexico, 1-0. Air Force had lost to both teams at home the previous weekend. Kevin Durr scored a goal and added an assist as the Falcons scored the most goals in one game against a conference opponent since 2004. Garrett Getschow scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season while senior captain Eric Wilson scored the first goal of his career. Freshman Zachary Modly also scored for the Falcons.
On Sunday, the Falcons gave up a penalty kick in the 28th minute to the Lobos and were unable to get a shot past UNM keeper Victor Rodriguez.
    Scoring Is Up This Season
The Falcons have scored 27 goals in 13 games so far this season, seven more than they scored in 19 games all of last season. Air Force is third in the MPSF in goals scored and assists with 24.
Durr Still Near Top of National and MPSF Stats
Air Force junior Kevin Durr is tied for second in the MPSF and tied for 12th nationally with seven assists. Durr is also second in the league with 46 shots and tied for third averaging 1.31 points per game. Meanwhile, Matt Underwood is second in the conference with 55 saves.
