Anthony Latronica has been promoted to associate head coach for the Air Force men's soccer team, announced today by Falcon head coach Doug Hill. Latronica, who has been with the program for three years as an assistant coach, will continue his duties as the recruiting coordinator as well as on-field coaching.
"Anthony has contributed immensely to the program and is a vital member of my staff," said Hill. "He has helped bring in two excellent recruiting classes for us and his knowledge and experience of the college game has benefitted our program."
Latronica came to the Academy prior to the 2007 season after spending one season as an assistant at Harvard. He also spent four years (1999-02) as an assistant coach with the Crimson before a three-year stint as an assistant at Oregon State from 2003-05.
Latronica, 33, holds a USSF "A" license, is in his second year as a National Staff Instructor for US Soccer and has spent four years on the Region IV ODP staff. The former Columbine High School (Colo.) All-American married Alexi Emmerson in June of 2009.
